The annual pre season training weekend will take place on the 13/14 February this year.

We will be heading northwards and the spin distance each day will be approximately 130 kilometres.
Anybody who intends to race this season should do their best to participate.

The training race is the following Sunday 21st and the CI racing season starts on the 28th February.

If you would like to go on this training weekend please contact me asap or post your name on this thread.

Thank you.

Leonard Carrigan to start, not sure about the finish, especially after last year, when again I was left behind by the club.

Ciaran

Jimmy Lally has requested I place is name down for the training weekend away. Please note this is a training weekend and that anyone left behind in the last quarter will have to ride in alone, Jimmy is going for a stage in the tour and needs all the training, he has put snow chains on the bike so he can go out.

I know that feeling! Well done Wesley.

Thx Paul - the real mechanical difficulty was in the legs - they wouldn't pump fast enough Wink

Well done Wez in the 2-day at the weekend. Would have been a contender except for a TT mechanical difficulty.

Typical us Wheelers upsetting The Boyne Valley Manor House security systems, mind you swords did it too!

Enjoyed the BotB run. Had some delusion it might be the de-scheduled club randonnee. The political theory discussion was most illuminating; at 50km/h downhill I hear "in his seminal 1994 paper...

Club randonee in the style of a battle. Try yourube for Bicycle Jousting.

Not sure Rory but hoping to find out tomorrow. Maybe there will be a repeat of 1690, on bikes.

04/09/2010 18:27
Sunday club cycle is "Battle of Boyne" route, what is that?

03/09/2010 01:58
Another few years and the majority of CI members should be ready for the terminator. Who will ride the championships then?

02/09/2010 22:03
Consider yourself lucky Lenny, remember the film Logan's Run, where ya got bumped off when ya reached 30! At least CI allow you another 10 years before you are marked for termination.

02/09/2010 20:26
Mr F that is a load of BS and there we are training like mad things for this our end of season classic. Lets do it.

No vets welcome in Waterford, Wes. You are on your own!

There's a new open race on the calendar for this Thurs in Mondello - looks like fun.
