The A3 Contest saw the Freshman Jason Kenny who joined UCD from Comeragh CC this year take a commanding lead early on in the race from a couple of pursuers and showed good resolve to remain in front for 60 Km’s at the finish he was almost reeled in by Boheermeen CC Junior rider Aaron Rafferty who took second spot ahead of Oisin Smith & Barry Swan both from the D.W.C.C.Conor Murphy Rogers ( Scott Orwell Wheelers ) placed 5th Aaron Wade ( Vitus Chill NRPT ) was 6th.

The A2 / A1 Race was handicapped with the A2’s starting 2minutes ahead of the A1’s but the had become one group by the end of the first lap which saw a 3 man beak with 12 seconds from a group of chasers, in the break were Daragh Mc Arthur ( Donegal Bay ) Charlie Prendergast ( Castlebar CC ) and Anthony Zippy Doyle (Strata 3 Velo Revolution )

The chasers saw Sean Moore & Cian Sutcliffe ( Bio Racer DHL ) Sean Mc Kenna ( Dan Morrissey ) Conor Murnane and Simon Jones ( UCD ) and two other riders .

The break was reeled in but Prendergast again slipped away this time with Sean Moore ( BIO RACER DHL ) and it was Moore who proved the stronger in the final sprint for the line he pulled out a ten length win over Prendergast Conor Murnane ( UCD ) took 3rd with Sean Mc Kenna 4th Anthony Zippy Doyle 5th and Liam Curley 6th .
